Is this safe if I am on Accutane, spironolactone, or birth control?

Yes. Topical mandelic and tranexamic do not interact with oral acne medication. Continue your prescription as directed. Do NOT layer with topical hydroquinone — check with your derm before adding another active.

How is this different from Almond Clear Level 2?

Same mandelic concentration (15%). We add 3% tranexamic acid AND 4% niacinamide which they do not have. Tranexamic is what fades the marks. We clear the breakout AND fade the marks each breakout left behind — in one bottle.

How is this different from The Ordinary salicylic body serum?

Salicylic does not kill fungal folliculitis (about 40% of body breakouts). Salicylic also does not fade dark marks. Ours has 3 actives targeting 3 parts of the same problem. Formulated specifically for melanin-rich skin.

Does it work on butt acne / folliculitis?

Yes. About 40% of "butt acne" is fungal folliculitis (Malassezia yeast). Mandelic acid is one of the few OTC actives with documented antifungal activity. Apply after showering, do not wear tight jeans for 20 minutes so it can dry.
